Saudi Arabia’s Anti-Corruption Authority has apprehended 164 government employees across four ministries on allegations of bribery and misuse of authority.
The arrested individuals are linked to the Ministries of Interior, Education, Health, and Municipal Affairs, as revealed in an official statement by the authority.
As part of an ongoing anti-corruption campaign, the authority conducted inspections at 1,635 government offices last month. These inspections uncovered multiple violations of institutional regulations, leading to the filing of various criminal cases.
Authorities detained 370 individuals for questioning, with some later released on bail following initial investigations. The arrests underscore Saudi Arabia’s intensified efforts to strengthen transparency and accountability in public administration.
