The 22nd Astana meeting on the Syrian crisis, guaranteed by Turkey, Russia, and Iran, will be held on November 11-12 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. According to a statement released by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first day will feature bilateral and trilateral consultative talks among the delegations, while the second day will include a joint session followed by a press conference.
The agenda for the 22nd Astana talks will cover regional developments around Syria, efforts for a comprehensive resolution, the humanitarian and current situation in the country, confidence-building measures between the parties, and discussions on the conditions for Syrian refugees’ return and the country’s reconstruction.
This high-level meeting follows the last gathering of the Astana process guarantors, which took place in Astana on January 24-25 of this year.
