54 Terrorists Killed as Infiltration Attempt from Afghan Border Foiled
Security forces successfully repelled an attempted infiltration across the Afghan border, eliminating 54 terrorists in a major counter-operation, officials confirmed on Sunday.
According to official sources, a large group of heavily armed militants attempted to cross into Pakistan through the rugged Afghan border regions. Pakistani security personnel, already on high alert, swiftly engaged the infiltrators.
The ensuing clash resulted in the deaths of 54 terrorists, while several others fled back across the border. No casualties among Pakistani forces were reported during the operation.
Authorities emphasized that security along the Afghan-Pakistan border remains significantly tightened due to repeated attempts by militant groups to infiltrate Pakistani territory.
Security agencies have enhanced surveillance, using advanced monitoring systems and drone support, to detect and neutralize any future threats in the border areas.
In a statement, government officials praised the swift and effective action of the security forces. They reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its borders and preventing any terrorist activity originating from across the frontier.
Efforts are ongoing to identify the militant network involved, with intelligence operations underway to prevent any regrouping of the fleeing elements.
