87 Pakistani Students Participate three days conference in Dubai

A delegation of 87 Pakistani students from various educational institutions participated in the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) Dubai 2025, held from January 11 to 13 at Le Meridien Hotel & Conference Center.

Organized by Harvard University’s International Relations Council (IRC) in collaboration with WorldView Education, the event brought together over 1,000 students from 73 institutions across 48 countries.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, supported the Pakistani teams throughout the event. Ambassador Tirmizi visited the conference venue to interact with delegates, emphasizing the importance of education and soft diplomacy in fostering Pakistan’s global image.

He encouraged the students to be agents of positive change, advocating for innovation, inclusivity, and active participation in international dialogues. In recognition of his engagement, the Harvard IRC team presented Ambassador Tirmizi with a token of appreciation.

Students from prominent Pakistani institutions, including C.A.S. School Karachi, Learning Alliance Lahore, Cadet College Hassan Abdal, Lahore Grammar School, and Roots International, participated in the conference.

Led by Umer Sharfuddin, the C.A.S. School delegation met with Consul General Hussain Muhammad at the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai. The Consul General hosted a luncheon for the delegation and provided insights into the consulate’s diplomatic responsibilities.

During the conference, Pakistani students excelled in several categories, winning awards in the largest debate committees. Notably, the Pakistani delegation also secured the prestigious **Best Small Delegation Award**, underscoring their talent and preparation.

The HMUN Dubai 2025 highlighted the importance of international forums in empowering young leaders and enhancing Pakistan’s global representation. Events like these provide a platform for Pakistani youth to engage with peers worldwide, contributing to their personal growth and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
