90,000 Pakistanis to Perform Hajj 2025 Under Government Scheme
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf announced on Saturday that 90,000 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj this year under the government-sponsored scheme.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, the minister confirmed that Hajj flights from Pakistan will commence on April 29, 2025. He stated that preparations are in full swing, including the rollout of vaccinations and the launch of official Hajj training programs.
“Training sessions for pilgrims will begin on April 8,” said Yousaf, adding that attendees will be briefed on health protocols, vaccination guidelines, and other critical pilgrimage procedures.
The minister detailed the cost structure of this year’s government Hajj package:
- Rs1,150,000 for short-term pilgrims
- Rs1,050,000 for long-term pilgrims
Yousaf also noted that he had recently met with Saudi authorities to review and finalize arrangements for the pilgrimage, ensuring smooth accommodations, transportation, and health services for Pakistani pilgrims.
He clarified that the suspension of Umrah visas during this period is standard practice, aimed at streamlining Hajj operations and minimizing logistical burdens on Saudi facilities.
The government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe, organized, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all Pakistani pilgrims.
