Hezbollah Refuses Talks with Israel Until Ceasefire Is Implemented

Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Naeem Qassem, declared that Lebanon will not engage in indirect negotiations with Israel until the Israeli military halts its attacks on Lebanese territory. In a recorded address, Qassem emphasized that a genuine ceasefire is a prerequisite for any talks aimed at ending the ongoing hostilities.

Qassem reiterated that only progress on the battlefield could bring an end to the conflict between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, and that any discussions would be led by Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. He further stressed that the condition for entering negotiations would be a full cessation of Israeli military operations.

In his statement, Qassem also revealed that Hezbollah is actively targeting Israel with missiles and drones, claiming that no area in Israel is beyond their reach. He boldly declared that Hezbollah will ultimately emerge victorious.

The Hezbollah leader also assured that the group has tens of thousands of trained fighters and possesses the necessary resources to continue fighting for the long term.

Regarding the U.S. elections, Qassem emphasized that Hezbollah’s position would not be influenced by the outcome, asserting that the focus should remain on halting Israeli aggression through military efforts rather than political developments in the U.S.

Qassem further accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of rejecting calls to set a date for the war’s conclusion, suggesting that Israel is aiming to expand the conflict beyond Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon into a wider Middle Eastern confrontation.
