Australian Army Chief Visits GHQ, Meets COAS General Asim Munir

Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, Chief of the Australian Army, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) and met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in defense and security between the two nations.

According to ISPR, the two leaders discussed topics of mutual interest, including the global and regional security environment. General Asim Munir highlighted the significance of Pakistan-Australia relations and emphasized the importance of robust bilateral ties in advancing shared objectives of peace and stability.

Lieutenant General Stuart praised Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and underscored the value of continued collaboration for regional and global peace. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening defense and security cooperation.

Earlier, upon his arrival at GHQ, the Australian Army Chief laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument to pay tribute to Pakistan’s fallen heroes and was presented with a guard of honor by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
