Thousands Cast Votes in Khalistan Referendum Held in Auckland, New Zealand

The Khalistan independence referendum in Auckland concluded successfully, witnessing participation from thousands of voters.

The voting process saw overwhelming enthusiasm, with long queues forming well before the start time. This turnout led organizers to extend the voting period by an additional hour to accommodate everyone. Members of the Sikh community traveled from other cities to join the significant event.

Reports from international media highlighted that attendees expressed strong sentiments, chanting anti-India slogans and displaying palpable excitement as they voted.

The Independent Punjab Referendum Commission noted that over 37,000 people cast their votes. Many participants reportedly waited for up to four hours to make their voices heard.

Addressing the gathering through video link, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, General Counsel of Sikhs for Justice, praised the community for choosing a non-violent path despite facing hardships. He announced that the next phase of the referendum would be held on March 23 in Los Angeles, USA.
