Aqib Javed Appointed Interim Head Coach for Pakistan’s White-Ball Cricket Team

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Aqib Javed as the interim head coach for the national cricket team’s white-ball format. Aqib, who is already serving as a senior member of the selection committee, will take on this additional responsibility until the conclusion of the Champions Trophy.

This decision comes after the resignation of former South African batter Gary Kirsten from the white-ball head coach role last month. During Pakistan’s recent tour of Australia, red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie temporarily took on the white-ball coaching duties.

The PCB has also commenced the search for a new permanent head coach for the white-ball team to ensure long-term leadership and stability.
