Saudi Arabia Hosts Second Trilateral Meeting Under Beijing Agreement

Riyadh witnessed a significant diplomatic event as Saudi Arabia hosted the second trilateral meeting under the Beijing Agreement. The gathering brought together senior officials from Saudi Arabia, China, and Iran, led by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Deng Li, while Dr. Majid Takht-Ravanchi represented Iran. During the talks, Saudi Arabia and Iran reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling all aspects of the Beijing Agreement, which centers on strengthening state sovereignty, mutual respect, and fostering good neighborly relations per the UN and OIC charters.

Both sides commended China’s facilitative role and stressed the importance of continued collaboration. China, in turn, expressed support for the bilateral efforts aimed at enhancing cooperation across different domains.

Key outcomes included the plan for the first meeting of the Saudi-Iranian joint media committee and the signing of an MoU between the *Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies* and Iran’s *Institute of Political and International Studies*.

The meeting concluded with a joint condemnation of Israeli military actions in Palestine and Lebanon, urging an end to hostilities. Additionally, the countries collectively denounced any threat to Iran’s sovereignty as unacceptable.
