Lower Kurram Attack: Death Toll Rises to 38, Several Injured

Tragic incident in the Lower Kurram region of Ochit, armed assailants attacked passenger vehicles, resulting in the deaths of 38 individuals, with several others injured.

The attackers targeted a convoy traveling from Peshawar to Parachinar, opening fire on the passenger vehicles with automatic weapons. Rescue teams quickly transported the injured to nearby hospitals.

According to Kurram District Police Officer (DPO), several of the injured are in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll could increase further.

Upon receiving reports of the attack, rescue volunteers and law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene to begin relief efforts. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers.
