The Pakistan Army’s top leadership has raised alarm over the targeted misinformation campaign against the lawful deployment of military personnel to secure key government facilities in the capital.
The 84th Formation Commanders’ Conference, led by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, underscored the harmful intent behind the propaganda. The forum stated that such campaigns aim to fracture trust between the public, the armed forces, and state institutions, reflecting the political motives of certain groups.
In a strong statement, the commanders vowed to identify and prosecute individuals spreading disinformation for political and financial advantage, highlighting it as a critical step to uphold national integrity.
The conference reiterated Pakistan’s unyielding political, diplomatic, and moral support for Kashmir’s cause. Discussions also focused on the ongoing counter-terrorism operations, particularly against the BLA Majeed Brigade in Balochistan. The commanders pledged to dismantle terrorist networks and eliminate their facilitators and supporters working to destabilize the nation.
The forum rejected any foreign-backed attempts to undermine Pakistan’s stability, emphasizing that such efforts will not succeed. It reaffirmed the military’s role in maintaining unity and protecting the country’s sovereignty.
