Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned Western nations for their role in escalating the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, warning that their actions are edging the world closer to a global conflict.
Speaking at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Putin stated that the West is intentionally heightening tensions, placing the blame for the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine squarely on their shoulders.
“This reckless approach is pushing the world toward the brink of a global conflict,” Putin declared.
He reiterated Belarus’s stance, with President Alexander Lukashenko advocating for a peaceful resolution. “We have discussed this issue repeatedly and continued to emphasize the need for a peaceful solution in our discussions today,” Putin said.
