Israeli Forces Advance into Syrian Buffer Zone, Capture Key Areas

Israeli military forces have advanced into Syria’s buffer zone, seizing control of multiple regions. According to International Media reports, Israeli forces carried out over 250 airstrikes across Syria in a single day. The strikes targeted key military installations, including three major airports in Damascus and other strategic locations.

Pakistan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia have strongly condemned Israel’s actions in the Golan Heights, labeling the advances a violation of international norms. Meanwhile, UN peacekeeping forces accused Israel of breaching the 1974 ceasefire agreement, which established the buffer zone as a demilitarized area.

In response to the criticism, Israel’s representative to the UN Security Council stated that the ongoing operations are temporary and intended solely to protect national security. The envoy emphasized that Israel’s measures are limited and not an indication of broader territorial ambitions.

The developments have further heightened tensions in the region, with the international community calling for restraint and adherence to diplomatic agreements. Observers fear that the escalating conflict could destabilize the already fragile situation in Syria and the broader Middle East.
