In discussions with Republican Congressman Rich McCormick, the focus was on strengthening bilateral economic ties and security cooperation. Regional and global issues were also deliberated, highlighting shared priorities for stability and growth.

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat, engaged with the ambassador on fostering closer people-to-people ties. Accepting his invitation in principle, she expressed interest in leading a Texas business delegation to Pakistan in 2025.

Ambassador Sheikh’s conversation with Republican Congressman Earl ‘Buddy’ Carter centered on exploring economic collaborations with Georgia, emphasizing the importance of state-level engagement to drive mutual benefits.

In a meeting with Congressman Neal Dunn, also a Republican, discussions revolved around expanding partnerships in IT, agriculture, trade, and investment, particularly in Florida.
