
Pakistan, Tajikistan Pledge to Enhance Cooperation in Key Sectors

Pakistan and Tajikistan have reiterated their commitment to strengthening ties across a range of sectors, including communication, energy, education, and agriculture, during high-level talks in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif hosted Tajikistan’s Energy Minister, H.E. Daler Juma, who is visiting Pakistan as part of the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Commission. Discussions also focused on advancing the CASA-1000 energy project, a major initiative aimed at enhancing regional energy trade.
The Prime Minister lauded the progress in bilateral relations and emphasized the timely implementation of agreements reached during his visit to Tajikistan. He conveyed his best wishes to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, expressing hope for an upcoming visit by the Tajik leader to Pakistan.
Minister Daler Juma thanked the Prime Minister for the warm hospitality and highlighted Tajikistan’s commitment to deepening its relationship with Pakistan.
The meeting, which was attended by several high-ranking officials including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, and Minister for Energy Awais Ahmed Leghari, underscores the countries’ shared vision for enhanced cooperation and regional connectivity.
