Aleem Khan Stresses Role of Trade Corridors for Central Asia

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, emphasized the urgent need for trade corridors linking Pakistan to Central Asia. During a meeting with Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kastafin, Khan discussed how improved access to ports could increase bilateral trade. He proposed the creation of display centers to showcase and sell Pakistani industrial products to foreign buyers.

Abdul Aleem Khan pointed out that the shared history, religion, and cultural ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan could further strengthen economic ties. He also stressed the importance of road infrastructure to attract foreign investment, noting that foreign investment remains a key priority for Pakistan’s economic growth.

Ambassador Kastafin echoed these sentiments, underlining that enhanced trade relations with Pakistan are in Kazakhstan’s broader interest. He expressed optimism about the future of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, reflecting the positive momentum of their bilateral relations.
