
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Meets Saudi Shura Council Chairman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has lauded Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his leadership in organizing the Arab Islamic Summit, highlighting its importance in strengthening the Muslim Ummah’s call for peace in Gaza, Lebanon, and the wider region.
During a meeting with Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continuous support to Pakistan, especially in times of difficulty. He also reflected on his numerous visits to Saudi Arabia throughout the year, noting that they signify the strong bond between the two nations.
“The historic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are a critical pillar of our foreign policy. Parliamentary exchanges are key to further enhancing these relations,” Sharif remarked.
Sharif also acknowledged the signing of agreements worth $28 million between the two countries and emphasized the growing economic and financial collaboration. He expressed hope that both nations would soon see the tangible benefits of these agreements.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s 2.5 million Pakistani expatriates, who he described as a vital bridge linking the two nations.
PM Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to Saudi Arabia on being awarded the 2034 FIFA World Cup, expressing confidence that the Kingdom would host the event with great success.
The Prime Minister also reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for Saudi Arabia’s efforts to address human rights violations in Gaza and Lebanon. He concluded the meeting by conveying best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
