
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Meets UAE Ambassador, Announces Working Group for Bilateral Cooperation

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a pivotal meeting with UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi to explore avenues for enhanced bilateral collaboration. The discussions culminated in the decision to establish a Punjab-UAE working group aimed at elevating mutual cooperation to new heights.
The meeting covered economic collaboration, developmental projects in Punjab, and strategies to promote tourism. CM Maryam Nawaz invited UAE investors to explore opportunities in Punjab, offering assurances of special incentives and a conducive environment for their ventures.
The Chief Minister lauded UAE’s role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and received congratulations from the Ambassador on her successful visit to China. Ambassador Al-Zaabi praised Punjab’s ongoing developmental initiatives and its proactive measures to combat climate change, expressing UAE’s commitment to strengthening ties.
“We deeply value UAE’s support in infrastructure, health, education, and energy sectors,” said CM Maryam Nawaz, emphasizing the trust and mutual respect underpinning Pakistan-UAE relations. She highlighted Punjab’s readiness to collaborate with UAE in agriculture, technology, green energy, and other sectors.
The Ambassador reiterated UAE’s aspiration for a progressive Pakistan and affirmed UAE’s commitment to standing by Pakistan in its journey toward growth. “We are eager to expand projects in Pakistan and foster sustainable development through public-private partnerships with the Punjab government,” he added.
