German Diplomat Found Dead in Diplomatic Enclave Residence
Thomas Fielder, serving as the Second Secretary at the German Embassy in Islamabad, was found deceased in his apartment located within the Diplomatic Enclave on Monday.
The discovery was made after embassy officials grew concerned about Fielder’s absence from work for two days. Upon entering the apartment, authorities found him unresponsive and immediately informed the police.
His body was transported to Polyclinic Hospital, where a post-mortem examination was conducted. Preliminary findings suggest that Fielder had a history of a minor heart attack, which may have contributed to his death. However, the definitive cause will be determined after the completion of the autopsy.
“We are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the circumstances of this incident,” a police spokesperson stated, adding that they are in close communication with embassy representatives.
The German Embassy acknowledged the loss and confirmed its cooperation with Pakistani authorities. Officials have assured that all protocols are being followed to address the situation.
