Preparations Underway for Jeddah’s Hajj Conference and Exhibition with Representatives from 87 Countries
Under the patronage of King Salman, Saudi Arabia is set to host the annual Hajj Conference in Jeddah from January 13 to 16, 2025. This event, marking its fourth edition, will focus on shaping the priorities for Hajj preparations and services for the coming year.
The conference, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, will see participation from ministers, ambassadors, academic experts, diplomats, and representatives from both private and public sectors across 87 countries.
According to reports from the Saudi Press Agency, the primary goal of the conference is to improve the quality of services provided to Hajj pilgrims, encourage the exchange of experiences between countries, and foster an environment of transparency and competition among companies involved in Hajj operations in Mecca and Medina.
This year’s event will feature over 100 speakers, with multiple sessions and 47 panel discussions focused on sharing knowledge and tackling challenges in Hajj services. In addition, 50 workshops will be conducted, exploring ways to address obstacles in enhancing Hajj services and supporting innovative projects in the sector.
Alongside the conference, a 50,000-square-meter exhibition will take place in Jeddah, where 280 exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, designed to make Hajj easier for pilgrims.
The outcome of previous editions of this conference has led to 202 cooperation agreements and the invitation of 100,000 pilgrims from 87 countries, including ministers, ambassadors, and other officials. This year’s conference aims to continue improving the standard of services for Hajj pilgrims, propose solutions for common challenges faced by different nations, and enhance competition and transparency among Hajj service providers.
