O-1 Satellite’s Successful Launch Marks Milestone in Pakistan’s Space Program: Ishaq Dar

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has hailed the successful launch of Pakistan’s indigenous electro-optical (EO-1) satellite as a significant achievement in the country’s space journey.

In a message on X (formerly Twitter), Dar congratulated the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) for reaching this milestone. He emphasized that the EO-1 satellite would enhance Pakistan’s capabilities in monitoring natural resources, predicting and responding to natural disasters, improving food security through precision agriculture, and driving economic growth with informed decision-making.

“The launch of Pakistan’s indigenously manufactured EO satellite is a testament to SUPARCO’s expertise and the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to advancing space technology for peaceful purposes,” Dar stated.

The EO-1 satellite is expected to play a crucial role in scientific research and national development, strengthening Pakistan’s presence in space technology and applications.
