Israel Threatens to Halt Ceasefire Without Prisoner List: Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to halt the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, stating that Israel will not move forward unless it receives the list of prisoners scheduled for release today.

He accused Hamas of failing to provide the necessary list, adding, “The ceasefire cannot progress without this information.”

Israel’s Position on the Agreement
🔹 Netanyahu stressed that Tel Aviv will not tolerate any violations of the truce.
🔹 He placed full responsibility for any breaches of the prisoner exchange deal on Hamas.

Hamas Responds
🔸 Hamas stated that prisoner release lists will be shared before each exchange, in line with the agreement.
🔸 They emphasized that the release of Israeli hostages depends on the number of Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel.

Ceasefire Implementation & Prisoner Exchange
The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is scheduled to take effect on Sunday at 8:30 AM local time. However, just hours before its implementation, Israel released maps marking restricted zones in Gaza.

🔹 Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee cautioned Gaza residents against moving north from southern Gaza or using Netzarim Road, calling it a high-risk area.
🔹 He stated that Israeli forces will remain in designated areas of Gaza throughout the ceasefire period.

Prisoner Exchange Details
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first phase of the ceasefire, lasting 42 days, will involve:
✔️ The release of 33 Israeli prisoners by Hamas.
✔️ The release of over 1,890 Palestinian prisoners by Israel.

Planned Release Timeline
📅 Day 1 (Sunday): Three female Israeli soldiers will be freed.
📅 Day 7: Three additional hostages will be released.
📅 Day 14: Four more prisoners will be freed.
📅 Day 21: Three hostages will be released.
📅 Days 28 & 35: Three hostages will be freed on each day.

On Saturday, Israel’s Justice Ministry published a list of 737 Palestinian prisoners to be freed in the first phase of the agreement.

🔸 The list includes members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, some serving life sentences for serious crimes, including murder.
🔸 However, Israeli authorities confirmed that these prisoners will not be released before 4 PM local time on Sunday.
