Consul General Urges Stronger Pakistan-UAE Business Ties at PBC Dubai Meeting
Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, met with the newly appointed board members of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) to discuss strategies for enhancing Business with the UAE and Pakistan.
During the meeting held at the Consulate General of Pakistan, PBC Chairman Shabbir Merchant introduced the council’s new leadership and outlined its strategic vision for 2025-2026. He emphasized PBC’s commitment to fostering economic collaboration, investment opportunities, and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Congratulating the new board, Hussain Muhammad praised PBC’s role in promoting Pakistan’s economic potential in the UAE and urged members to take concrete steps in expanding bilateral trade. He highlighted Pakistan’s diverse investment opportunities, particularly in IT, manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism, stressing the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in streamlining investor support.
He encouraged PBC to act as a bridge between Pakistani and Emirati businesses, facilitating new partnerships and strengthening existing ones. The Consul General also reaffirmed the consulate’s full support for PBC’s initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Trade & Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, senior consulate officials, and PBC members, who discussed ways to further deepen Pakistan-UAE economic ties.
