Pakistan Navy Ships Visit Oman to Strengthen Maritime Cooperation

Pakistan Navy Ships (PNS) TABUK and RAH NAWARD made a strategic port call at Port Sultan Qaboos, Muscat, Oman, as part of their overseas deployment. The ships received a warm welcome from Omani authorities, reflecting the strong maritime ties between the two nations, according to a statement from the Director General Public Relations (Navy).

High-Level Naval Engagements
During the visit, the Mission Commander and Commanding Officers held meetings with top officials of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), including:
– Director General Operations and Plans, RNO
– Commander Maritime Security Centre
– Commandant of Said Bin Sultan Naval Base

These interactions focused on strengthening Navy-to-Navy engagements, maritime security cooperation, and strategic partnerships between Pakistan and Oman.

Diplomatic and Community Engagement
The visit also had a strong diplomatic and community aspect. Ambassadors, diplomats, and military attachés from various countries toured the ships, while Pakistani expatriates and students from Pakistan School Muscat were given an exclusive onboard visit to experience the naval operations firsthand.

Joint Naval Exercises for Enhanced Interoperability
Following the port call, PNS TABUK conducted a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with Royal Oman Navy Ship AL SHAMIKH. The joint exercise aimed to:
✔ Improve tactical coordination between the two navies
✔ Enhance interoperability and maritime security
✔ Promote shared learning and operational synergy

Strengthening Pakistan-Oman Maritime Ties
As maritime neighbors, Pakistan and Oman share a long history of naval cooperation. Frequent port visits, high-level engagements, and joint exercises reflect the commitment of both nations to regional stability and maritime security.

The visit of PNS TABUK and RAH NAWARD is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations, boost naval collaboration, and reinforce Pakistan’s commitment to international maritime partnerships.
