Made in Uzbekistan’ Expo Aims to Forge Strong, Connections Between Uzbek and Pakistani Entrepreneurs: Ambassador
Report By Syed Farzand Ali
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad, in partnership with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade and Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce, is set to host the highly anticipated ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ exhibition from February 11 to 13 at Expo Lahore (foyer area). The exhibition will highlight a diverse range of Uzbek products, industries, and cultural elements.
This single-country exhibition will feature a delegation of 150 Uzbek companies and business partners, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to explore a variety of Uzbek-made products and services. The exhibition will showcase Uzbek textiles, leather goods, home appliances, pharmaceuticals, agricultural machinery, and food products, among others.
Alongside the business offerings, the event promises a cultural immersion, featuring traditional Uzbek performances and cuisine, allowing guests to experience the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ Expo aims to bolster economic and trade relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, two nations already linked by strong bilateral trade, which reached 404 million USD in 2024. The event is designed to promote mutual trade, investment, and business opportunities, and strengthen ties between the two countries.
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, highlighted that the embassy will support Government-to-Business (G2B) and Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, facilitating the creation of meaningful, result-oriented connections between business leaders from both countries.
Ambassador Tukhtaev emphasized that this exhibition not only showcases products but is also a crucial step toward furthering economic, trade, and social relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. He expressed confidence that it would provide Pakistani entrepreneurs and business leaders with opportunities to explore new markets, engage in discussions on trade, investment, and collaboration, and build long-term partnerships.
“This exhibition will mark a new chapter in our relations,” said Ambassador Tukhtaev. “We look forward to welcoming Pakistan’s business community in Lahore, and we hope it paves the way for closer ties and fruitful partnerships between Uzbekistan and Pakistan,” he added.
