Hamas to Release Three More Hostages, Keeping Ceasefire Intact
Hamas announced on Thursday that it will release three more Israeli hostages as planned, easing tensions over the ongoing ceasefire dispute with Israel.
The Palestinian group had previously threatened to delay the releases, accusing Israel of failing to meet conditions related to humanitarian aid and shelter provisions. However, mediation efforts by Egypt and Qatar helped resolve the issue, with both nations ensuring that aid, including medical supplies and fuel, would enter Gaza.
Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanou confirmed that the hostages would be freed on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Israel reported a rocket launch from Gaza, marking the first such incident since the ceasefire began in January. The Israeli military responded by striking the launcher.
