Pakistan Celebrates Emperor Naruhito’s 65th Birthday at Special Event in Islamabad

 

A grand celebration was held at a local hotel in Islamabad to mark the 65th birthday of Japan’s Emperor Naruhito. The event was attended by dignitaries, diplomats, and government officials, reflecting the strong diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Japan.

Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, extended warm wishes to the Japanese Emperor on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan. In his address, he praised Emperor Naruhito as a symbol of unity, peace, and prosperity for Japan, expressing hope that his reign would continue to inspire progress and harmony globally.

Highlighting the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and Japan, the minister emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, and cultural exchange. He noted Japan’s contributions to global innovation, technology, and economic growth, acknowledging its support in various development projects in Pakistan.

The minister also lauded the role of Japanese businesses in Pakistan, mentioning that over 80 Japanese companies are actively operating in sectors such as automobile manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, steel, and machinery. He stressed that Pakistan’s strategic location offers vast opportunities for investment and economic collaboration.

The event also featured speeches by Japanese officials and representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), who reiterated Japan’s commitment to enhancing economic and diplomatic ties with Pakistan.

The evening concluded with a cultural showcase, celebrating Japan’s rich traditions and its long-standing friendship with Pakistan. The celebration served as a testament to the growing partnership between the two nations and their shared vision for a prosperous future.
