Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif Pays Tribute to Karabakh War Heroes at Victory Monument in Baku

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the Victory Monument in Baku on Monday to pay homage to the Azerbaijani heroes and martyrs of the 2nd Karabakh War. The visit underscored Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Azerbaijan in its struggle for territorial integrity.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, the prime minister laid a floral wreath at the monument, honoring those who made sacrifices during the historic 44-day war that led to the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Symbol of Bravery and National Pride
Expressing his sentiments in the guest book, PM Shahbaz described the Victory Monument as a testament to Azerbaijan’s courage, resilience, and national pride.
he wrote. “Pakistan will always stand shoulder to shoulder with Azerbaijan in its pursuit of peace, stability, and prosperity.”
Strengthening Pakistan-Azerbaijan Ties
The visit reinforced Pakistan’s strong diplomatic and strategic ties with Azerbaijan. PM Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and regional stability.
Senior officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Investment Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatimi, accompanied the prime minister during the visit.
The visit to the Victory Monument marks another step in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, reflecting mutual respect and historical friendship between the two nations.
