Dubai Introduces ‘Salama’ – A Smart, AI-Powered Visa Renewal System

Dubai residents can now renew their visas in minutes with the launch of ‘Salama’, an AI-driven digital platform introduced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). This initiative is part of Dubai’s commitment to digital transformation, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free visa renewal process.

Faster, Smarter, and Paperless Visa Renewals

During the fourth annual media council meeting at the GDRFA headquarters in Al Jafiliya, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai Immigration, highlighted that ‘Salama’ is designed to simplify residency procedures, eliminating the need for long queues or physical paperwork.

Key Features of the ‘Salama’ Platform

✅ Quick Online Access: Residents can log in, select the renewal duration, and submit their applications effortlessly.
✅ Instant Processing: The system processes applications within minutes, significantly reducing waiting times.
✅ Paperless System: No need to visit service centers or complete lengthy paperwork.
✅ Automated Reminders: The platform sends timely notifications before visa expiry to prevent any disruptions.

Enhancing Government Services Through AI

Colonel Khalid Al Falasi, Assistant Director-General of Digital Services at GDRFA, stated, “Salama utilizes advanced AI to provide instant and accurate responses, enhancing government efficiency and making visa renewal more convenient for residents.”

With this innovative platform, Dubai continues to lead the way in smart governance, offering residents a streamlined visa renewal process that is efficient, user-friendly, and accessible from anywhere.
