Kuwait Celebrates National Day with Grand Event in Islamabad

The Embassy of Kuwait in Pakistan hosted a grand reception in Islamabad to celebrate Kuwait’s National Day, marking the country’s independence and rich heritage. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, government officials, diplomats, and members of the business community, reflecting the strong and cordial relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.

The celebration was graced by Pakistan’s senior government officials, including Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, who represented the government and extended warm wishes to the people of Kuwait on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He emphasized the deep-rooted ties between the two nations, highlighting Kuwait’s longstanding support for Pakistan in various economic and development sectors.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nassar Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, welcomed the guests and expressed his gratitude for Pakistan’s continuous support and friendship. In his speech, he reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, and cultural exchange.

The event featured a vibrant display of Kuwaiti culture, including traditional music performances, cultural exhibits, and a documentary showcasing Kuwait’s journey of progress and development. Guests enjoyed authentic Kuwaiti cuisine, adding to the festive atmosphere of the occasion.

Pakistan and Kuwait share strong economic ties, with bilateral trade witnessing steady growth. Discussions at the event also focused on enhancing cooperation in energy, infrastructure, and workforce development. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding trade partnerships and facilitating business exchanges.

Ambassador Al-Mutairi acknowledged the significant contribution of the Pakistani community in Kuwait and expressed appreciation for their role in the country’s development. He assured that Kuwait values its Pakistani expatriates and will continue to support initiatives that enhance mutual cooperation.

The National Day celebrations in Islamabad served as a testament to the enduring friendship and cooperation between Kuwait and Pakistan. Both nations look forward to further strengthening their strategic partnership in the years ahead.
