Palestinian Resistance Urges Muslims to Counter Israeli Plans Against Holy Sites
Palestinian resistance committees have strongly condemned the Israeli government’s decision to transfer administrative control of the Ibrahimi Mosque to a Zionist institution. In an official statement, the resistance groups called on Muslims worldwide to take immediate action against such Israeli measures.
The statement emphasized that the decision to hand over the mosque’s management from the Palestinian Waqf Authority to an Israeli entity is a blatant violation of religious and historical rights. “The enemy has no right to alter the identity of the Ibrahimi Mosque or transform it into a Jewish place of worship. This sacred site belongs solely to Muslims,” the statement read.
The Palestinian resistance has urged the Muslim community to act swiftly in preventing any desecration or destruction of the mosque by Israeli authorities.
The condemnation comes after Israeli officials informed the administration of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron that its management would be transferred from the Palestinian Ministry of Religious Affairs to the so-called Israeli Civil Planning Organization.
Both Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movement have also issued statements denouncing this move, labeling it an attempt to Judaize the mosque and erase its Islamic identity.
The decision has sparked widespread outrage among Palestinian leaders and human rights organizations, who see it as part of Israel’s broader strategy to assert control over Muslim religious sites. Regional and international bodies have been urged to intervene and prevent further violations of religious freedoms.
With tensions escalating, Palestinian authorities have reiterated their commitment to safeguarding Islamic heritage sites and resisting any attempts at altering their historical and religious status.
Palestinian resistance groups have called on Muslims worldwide, as well as international organizations, to take a firm stand against these actions. They have warned that failure to counter such moves could set a dangerous precedent for other Islamic holy sites in occupied territories.
As the situation develops, global attention remains focused on Hebron, where the fate of the Ibrahimi Mosque continues to be a contentious issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
