Muslim Scrap Dealer’s House Demolished in India for Chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ After Match

Authorities in India demolished the house of a Muslim scrap dealer after he allegedly chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” following the India-Pakistan cricket match.

According to local reports, the incident occurred in Malwan area, Sindhudurg district, where the man was accused of raising pro-Pakistan slogans after the match. Videos circulating on social media allegedly show him chanting, which led to immediate outrage from local political groups and authorities.

Following the incident, the police arrested the individual, and shortly after, the municipal authorities declared his home as an “illegal construction” and demolished it. The action has sparked widespread debate over the increasing use of bulldozer justice in India, particularly against minorities.

Human rights organizations have condemned the move, calling it an attack on freedom of speech and expression. They have urged authorities to ensure that legal processes are followed before taking such extreme actions.

Meanwhile, officials defended the demolition, claiming that the structure was built illegally and that action was taken as per the law. However, critics argue that such crackdowns selectively target certain communities, raising concerns about discrimination.

The incident has further fueled discussions about civil liberties, minority rights, and the growing intolerance in the country.
