Pakistan Women’s Blind Cricket Team Set for Landmark Australia Tour
Pakistan’s women’s blind cricket team is set to achieve a historic milestone as they embark on their first-ever international tour to face Australia in a five-match T20 series this April.
According to Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Chairman Syed Sultan Shah, the 17-member squad will compete in the series from April 20 to 26, with the full 21-member contingent, including four officials, departing for Australia on April 17.
Ahead of the tour, the team will undergo an intensive training camp in Lahore from April 6 to 16, ensuring they are well-prepared for this groundbreaking challenge.
Shah expressed gratitude towards the Australian High Commission for its ongoing support of women’s blind cricket in Pakistan over the years. “Their backing has been instrumental in our progress, and we look forward to representing Pakistan on an international platform,” he said.
This tour marks a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s sports history, promoting inclusivity and recognition for women’s blind cricket on a global stage.
