The National Security Committee (NSC) has decided to take all necessary measures to eliminate terrorism and dismantle militant networks across the country.

During a six-hour-long meeting in Islamabad, chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly, the committee reviewed the current security situation and emphasized the immediate implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) and Azm-e-Istahkam Strategy to combat terrorism.

Key Resolutions:

✅ Crackdown on terrorist networks and logistics support
✅ Strict measures against terrorism-financing and organized crime links
✅ Stronger counterterrorism legislation and enhanced law enforcement coordination
✅ Action against extremist content and recruitment on social media

The committee condemned the recent terrorist attacks and expressed solidarity with affected families. It praised the bravery of security forces and reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to root out terrorism in all forms.

Security agencies were instructed to intensify operations against terrorist elements and their sponsors while ensuring national stability. The importance of a united political stance in the fight against terrorism was also emphasized.

The NSC expressed concern over the misuse of social media by terrorist groups and called for immediate action to curb propaganda, recruitment, and communication of extremist elements.

While some opposition members did not attend the meeting, the government reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing consultations on national security matters.
