TIKA Hosts Special Iftar at Turkish Consulate in Karachi
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) organized a special Iftar dinner at the Turkish Consulate General in Karachi, bringing together public officials, civil society leaders, and orphaned and disabled children for a night of unity and generosity.

The event was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who expressed appreciation for TIKA’s initiative in uniting over 20 NGOs for a meaningful gathering. During the evening, he personally interacted with the children and praised the spirit of compassion embodied in the event.
Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu highlighted the significance of Iftar in promoting brotherhood and solidarity, emphasizing the strong bond between Türkiye and Pakistan. He extended gratitude to TIKA for fostering goodwill and collaboration through such initiatives.
TIKA’s Karachi Program Coordinator, Halil Ibrahim Basaran, also spoke about the agency’s Ramadan activities across Sindh and Pakistan, reinforcing its commitment to humanitarian efforts.
Following the Iftar, Eid gift packages prepared by TIKA were distributed among the orphaned and disabled children, making the evening even more special for the young attendees.
