Pakistan Clinches Double Gold at South Africa F-Class Long Range Championship 2025
The Pakistan Long Range Rifle Team has made history by securing double gold medals at the prestigious South Africa F-Class National Long Range Championship 2025, defeating the world’s top-ranked South African team on their home turf.
According to an official press release, the victory marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s shooting sports, showcasing the team’s exceptional precision, preparation, and performance under challenging conditions.
In the Vice President Team Match, Pakistan scored 1168 out of 1200, clinching gold. The team further impressed by winning the Chairman’s Team Cup — the event’s most coveted title — for the second time, with an even higher score of 1174 out of 1200.

The team underwent a rigorous four-day wind training camp in South Africa from March 27 to 30, guided by expert wind coaches Henny Gerber and Julius Hartman, both of whom also coached during the competition.
Individual Brilliance:
Pakistan also dominated the individual events, winning a total of 11 medals:
- 5 Gold
- 3 Silver
- 3 Bronze
Junaid Ali emerged as the standout performer, securing:
- 3 Gold
- 2 Silver
- 2 Bronze
He also took top honors in events like the Free State Bazley Match, Col. Bodley Match, and multiple stages of the State President Trophy.
Waleed won the Scottish Sword Match gold, while Obaid Ibrahim and Asad Waheed earned medals in key contests like the State President First Stage and Jack Mitchell Match.
Building Global Momentum:
Pakistan’s remarkable international journey began at the F-Class World Championship in 2023, where they placed fifth. The team went on to win gold at the European FTR Teams Championship, breaking two European records and collecting six individual medals.
In 2024, the momentum continued with a bronze medal at the European FTR Championship, along with 14 individual medals and two more European records.
National Recognition:
The achievements are being hailed as the result of a merit-based selection process, discipline, and relentless hard work. The team credits their success to the unwavering support of the Pakistan Army, particularly the Army Chief, whose encouragement has fueled their drive to elevate Pakistan’s profile on the global stage.

With eyes now set on the European F-Class Teams Championship in September 2025 (UK) and the World Championship in 2026, Pakistan’s rifle team is determined to continue their record-breaking streak and bring more international glory to the nation.
