Putin Welcomes Freed Hostages at Kremlin, Commends Hamas for Release Cooperation

Russian President Vladimir Putin personally received a group of recently freed Russian-Israeli dual nationals at the Kremlin on Wednesday, following their safe return from Gaza. The hostages, previously held during the recent escalation between Israel and Hamas, were released as part of ongoing humanitarian negotiations.

According to official sources, President Putin expressed gratitude to Hamas for facilitating the release and made direct contact with the group’s political leadership to acknowledge their cooperation. The Russian leader described the act as a “positive humanitarian gesture” and underscored the importance of continued dialogue to ensure the protection of civilians.

The freed individuals thanked the Russian government for its decisive role in securing their release. Russian diplomatic and security officials reportedly worked through multiple channels, including intermediaries in the Middle East, to bring the hostages home safely.
