ICJ Reviews Sudan’s Accusation Against UAE for Alleged Genocide Complicity

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is currently assessing a case filed by Sudan, accusing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of complicity in genocide through alleged arms supplies to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Sudan claims these weapons fueled atrocities, particularly against the Masalit ethnic group in Darfur.

Sudan has requested the court to halt UAE’s alleged military aid and demand reparations for victims. In response, UAE representatives strongly denied all allegations, calling them baseless and politically motivated.

International legal experts are closely watching the case, which may set a precedent for accountability regarding external involvement in internal conflicts. A ruling on jurisdiction is expected in the coming weeks.
