Iran–US Indirect Talks to Be Held in Rome on April 19
Report By Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
Iran and the United States are set to hold indirect talks in Rome, Italy on Saturday, April 19, as confirmed by both Iran’s Foreign Ministry and the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The upcoming meeting aims to revive stalled diplomacy between the two countries amid rising regional tensions.
According to a statement issued by Oman, the Italian capital was selected for logistical reasons, and Muscat expressed satisfaction in continuing its role as mediator and facilitator in the dialogue process.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry also confirmed the development, stating that Oman will maintain its role as an intermediary in the indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
The agenda of the talks has not yet been publicly disclosed, but regional analysts believe the discussions will likely cover nuclear-related concerns, sanctions relief, and regional security issues, including developments in Gaza and the Red Sea.
