Trump Warns US May Withdraw Support from Ukraine Peace Talks If Progress Is Hindered

U.S. President Donald Trump has signaled that the United States could “take a pass” on involvement in the Ukraine peace process if negotiating parties make the path to resolution too difficult.

Speaking at a policy forum in Florida, Trump stated that while the U.S. remains committed to supporting peace in Eastern Europe, its involvement is conditional on constructive cooperation from all sides involved in the conflict.

“If the parties involved don’t want peace, or if they make it unnecessarily difficult, then the United States will take a pass,” Trump said. “We’re not going to waste time on endless negotiations with no outcome.”

The remarks come amid a renewed push for diplomacy between Ukraine and Russia, with several European nations, including France and Germany, working behind the scenes to organize a peace summit. However, recent tensions and military escalations have dampened optimism.
