Indian PM Modi to Embark on Two-Day Visit to Saudi Arabia on April 22

Prime Minister of Indian Narendra Modi visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from April 22 to 23, This Visit an official invitation from Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

This high-level visit, the first of Modi’s current term, is aimed at enhancing strategic cooperation between the two nations. Discussions are expected to cover key sectors including energy, trade, investment, regional stability, and defense.

According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, the two leaders will also exchange views on pressing international developments and explore new areas of collaboration to deepen the strategic partnership.

India and Saudi Arabia have maintained strong economic ties. In the 2023–2024 fiscal year, bilateral trade stood at nearly $43 billion, with India importing oil and petrochemical products and exporting engineering goods, rice, and pharmaceuticals.

Saudi Arabia is home to approximately 2.7 million Indian nationals, forming one of the largest expatriate communities in the Kingdom. The contribution of the Indian workforce to Saudi Arabia’s development has been widely acknowledged by both governments.
