Pakistan and UAE Sign Landmark MoUs to Enhance Bilateral Ties in Trade, Culture, and Consular Affairs
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have taken a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations by signing multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation across key sectors, including trade, culture, and consular affairs.
The signing ceremony took place in Islamabad, where Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Among the major agreements signed was an MoU between the UAE Ministry of Culture and Pakistan’s Culture Division, aimed at deepening collaboration in the cultural domain. The agreement underscores both nations’ commitment to preserving and promoting their rich cultural heritage through joint initiatives, exchanges, and events.
In addition, an MoU was inked to establish a Joint Committee on Consular Affairs, a move expected to enhance coordination on matters related to visas, expatriates, and related services.
The signed documents were formally exchanged by UAE Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing gratitude for the warm reception, remarked, “Pakistan holds a special place in the hearts of the people of the UAE—and in mine personally. I am pleased with the current momentum in our bilateral relations, and we look forward to building even stronger partnerships in the future.”
