Ethiopian Ambassador Awarded in Pakistan for Advancing Bilateral Relations
Ambassador of Ethiopia’s to Pakistan, Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, has been honored with the prestigious “Best Ambassador Award” by the University of Sialkot in recognition of his outstanding role in strengthening diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and Pakistan.
Honored for Diplomatic Excellence
The award was presented during a special ceremony at the Green Legacy Forum, hosted by the university. The forum gathered more than 1,000 participants, including students, academic professionals, civil society members, and media representatives. Dr. Beker was recognized for his tireless efforts in promoting mutual cooperation, sustainable development, and people-to-people connectivity between the two nations.
Chairman of the University of Sialkot, Faisal Manzoor, presented the award, praising the ambassador’s dedication to fostering positive bilateral engagement and cross-cultural understanding.
Ambassador’s Commitment to Stronger Ties
Expressing his appreciation, Dr. Jemal Beker stated,
“I am humbled by this recognition. Ethiopia and Pakistan share strong bonds, and I remain committed to building on this friendship through deeper cooperation in trade, education, climate resilience, and innovation.”
This is not the first time the Ethiopian envoy has been acknowledged for his efforts in Pakistan.
A Forum for Green Diplomacy
The Green Legacy Forum focused on environmental initiatives and green diplomacy. Attendees discussed collaborative efforts in climate action, sustainability, and eco-innovation, areas where both Ethiopia and Pakistan are eager to expand their partnership.
