Pakistan Closes Wagah Border, Airspace, and Trade Routes with India in Strong Response to Hostile Actions

Pakistan has decided to immediately shut down the Wagah border, suspend airspace access, and halt all trade with India in response to New Delhi’s recent hostile actions, including alleged water aggression and false flag operations in Kashmir.

NSC Declares Water Blockade a “War Act”

In a high-level National Security Committee (NSC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government warned that any move by India to obstruct Pakistan’s rightful share of water would be considered a “war-like act” under international norms.

Key Civil-Military Leadership Attended Meeting

The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s three service chiefs, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, and other top officials.

False Flag Claims and Security Concerns

The committee reviewed the situation following the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, in which 27 tourists reportedly lost their lives. Pakistan categorically rejected India’s allegations, labeling the incident a false flag operation designed to justify aggressive posturing.

Diplomatic and Military Measures Approved

According to Foreign Ministry sources, the National Security Council approved **Foreign Ministry’s recommendations** to give a strong military and diplomatic response to India and the meeting expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Global Legal Action on Indus Waters Violation

The NSC also approved plans to take the matter of Indus Waters Treaty violations to international legal forums, citing India’s repeated breaches of the decades-old agreement.

Official Statement to Follow

A formal communiqué outlining Pakistan’s next steps is expected to be released shortly. Officials stated that the government’s decisions aim to protect national sovereignty and ensure a peaceful yet firm stance in the face of external aggression.
