Saudi Foreign Minister calls Ishaq Dar, briefs on Pak-India tensions and Pakistan’s national security decisions
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday to discuss key regional developments and national security decisions.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar briefed the Saudi Foreign Minister on the recent decisions made by Pakistan’s National Security Committee in response to provocative actions taken by India.
Pakistan Rejects Baseless Indian Allegations
During the call, Ishaq Dar categorically rejected India’s baseless allegations against Pakistan and highlighted New Delhi’s recent escalatory behavior. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability while underlining the country’s right to respond to any unlawful actions.
Consultation on Regional Security and Bilateral Relations
Both leaders discussed the prevailing regional situation in detail and agreed on the importance of continued diplomatic engagement. They exchanged views on security challenges in South Asia and reaffirmed their shared interest in maintaining peace and constructive cooperation in the region.
Mutual Satisfaction Over Bilateral Ties
The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that both sides expressed satisfaction over the state of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations. They agreed to maintain close contact and continue consultations on all matters of mutual interest, including political, economic, and security cooperation.
