Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi Hosts Launch of “Home #itscomplicated” by Sabah Karim Khan

The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi organized the launch ceremony of “Home #itscomplicated”, a book edited by Sabah Karim Khan, featuring essays from renowned Pakistani writers, thinkers, doctors, journalists, and filmmakers.

The event was attended by notable members of the Pakistani community, diplomats and distinguished literary figures. Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi graced the occasion, alongside panelists Zain Saeed, Amber Zaffar Khan, and Sabah Karim Khan, with Khurram Koraishy moderating the discussions.

“Home #itscomplicated” presents a heartfelt collection of stories contributed by celebrated personalities including Khalid Anam, Omar Shahid Hamid, Awais Khan, Ali Khan, and Muhammad Ali Bandial. The essays reflect the deep connections and emotions that Pakistani writers—especially those living abroad—feel for their homeland.

During the panel discussion, speakers highlighted the richness of Pakistan’s cultural and linguistic diversity, emphasizing that a nation with over 240 million people and more than 70 languages cannot be defined by fleeting news cycles.

In his remarks, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi applauded the contributors and praised the book for offering a unique window into untold stories of love, resilience, and courage tied to Pakistan.

“This book is a tribute to the enduring bond Pakistanis share with their homeland, no matter where they live. It invites readers to look beyond the headlines,” said the Ambassador.

He encouraged Pakistani writers and publishers to actively participate in literary platforms like the Abu Dhabi International Book Festival, promoting a positive image of Pakistan through arts and literature.

The Embassy emphasized the importance of cultural initiatives in enhancing Pakistan’s global standing. Events like this not only celebrate literary excellence but also strengthen the Pakistani community’s sense of identity and pride abroad.
