Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, reiterated Islamabad’s firm commitment to deepening economic engagement with Belgium during a high-level interaction with Belgian business stakeholders on Wednesday.

The meeting, held at the Pakistani Embassy in Brussels, brought together Belgian importers and investors who are actively engaged in trade with Pakistan. Ambassador Qureshi appreciated their cooperation in bilateral trade and emphasized the Embassy’s continued support in facilitating and expanding their business operations.

“Your investments not only strengthen economic relations between Pakistan and Belgium but also open doors to new avenues of cooperation,” said Ambassador Qureshi. “We are here to ensure that your commercial interests in Pakistan are supported with transparency, efficiency, and consistency.”

He invited Belgian companies to explore emerging opportunities in sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture technology, textiles, pharmaceuticals, IT services, and logistics. Highlighting Pakistan’s evolving investment landscape, the Ambassador emphasized the government’s continued focus on economic reforms, ease of doing business, and robust trade policies.

Ambassador Qureshi also encouraged Belgian partners to participate in future trade expos and investment forums in Pakistan to build new partnerships and gain firsthand exposure to the market’s potential.

As part of Pakistan’s broader economic diplomacy strategy, the Embassy aims to forge long-term, sustainable business collaborations within the European Union, with Belgium serving as a key gateway to the broader European market.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration, with the Ambassador assuring Belgian investors of proactive diplomatic support for any challenges they may face.
