Seven Soldiers Martyred in BLA IED Attack in Pakistan, Balochistan’s Kachhi District

In a tragic incident on May 6, 2025, seven personnel of Pakistan’s security forces were martyred in a targeted improvised explosive device (IED) attack by terrorists affiliated with the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in the District, Balochistan, Mach area of Kachhi .

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack struck a military vehicle, resulting in the martyrdom of:

  • Subedar Umar Farooq (age 42) from Karachi
  • Naik Asif Khan (age 28) from Karak
  • Naik Mashkoor Ali (age 28) from Orakzai
  • Sepoy Tariq Nawaz (age 26) from Lakki Marwat
  • Sepoy Wajid Ahmed Faiz (age 28) from Lakki Marwat
  • Sepoy Muhammad Asim (age 22) from Karak
  • Sepoy Muhammad Kashif Khan (age 28) from Kohat

ISPR confirmed that a comprehensive operation is currently underway in the region to eliminate the terrorists responsible for the attack. The military reaffirmed its commitment to ensure justice is served to the perpetrators of this brutal and cowardly act.

Highlighting the resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces, ISPR stated that such sacrifices only reinforce national resolve to preserve peace and stability in Balochistan. It further reiterated that hostile elements, including foreign-sponsored proxies, particularly those backed by India, will be defeated through the unified strength of Pakistan’s brave forces and its people.
