India Launches Missile Attacks on Five Pakistani Locations; 8 Civilians Martyred, 40 Injured

 

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that India launched missile attacks on five different locations within Pakistan late Monday night, resulting in the martyrdom of Eight civilians and injuries to at least 40 others, including six women.

According to ISPR, the unprovoked strikes targeted Ahmadpur East, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, and Muridke under the cover of darkness. The missiles were reportedly fired from within Indian airspace.

Before the explosion in Bahawalpur, eyewitnesses reported a sudden flash of bright light in the sky. Security sources noted that loud blasts were heard in both Muzaffarabad and Bahawalpur. Muzaffarabad experienced a complete blackout following the strike.

Reports confirmed two civilian deaths in Kotli and 20 injuries in Bahawalpur due to the missile impact. Among the damaged targets was Masjid Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, which was intentionally hit during prayer hours, as per ISPR.

Pakistan’s military has responded with retaliatory strikes. Security officials stated that Pakistan Army destroyed an Indian military post in the Dudhniyal sector along the Line of Control (LoC). Meanwhile, the Leepa Valley’s Sanduq Chilhanna Bandi area witnessed intense cross-border shelling.

India’s attacks also led to the destruction of a mosque in Shivai Muzaffarabad. Heavy firing was reported in the Battal sector of the LoC, to which Pakistani forces are responding decisively and effectively۔
